Work At Home Business Opportunities Weblog
In case you didn’t see this yesterday, I’ll be posting more information as I get it.
I knew I’d love “Teaching Sells” ever since running across this book: Make Money Teaching Online: How to Land Your First Academic Job, Build Credibility, and Earn a Six-Figure Salary
You see, I write or blog because I love to teach.
Now that’s great if you have a degree that lets you teach and one of hundreds of “online universities”. But not all of us have the degrees they’re looking for.
So what are you going to do if you have a passion and expertise but you don’t fit some university’s requirements?
Create your own online teaching environment!!!!
That’s what Teaching Sells is all about. Here’s a special offer before it closes down forever in its current form.

Don’t miss out becauseTeaching Sells is Closing the Doors
Yep, it’s true… Teaching Sells is closing the doors to new members at the end of July.
Why? Well, we’re approaching the end of the first phase of Teaching Sells as an ongoing business. You see, once you accumulate a huge amount of valuable content like we’ve done over the last 9 months, it allows you to reorganize and relaunch that content with a different delivery format (and even to a different audience).
We’re actually detailing this entire strategy for our members right now inside Teaching Sells. It’s all part of our philosophy of maximizing the value of content creation for those who understand how lucrative training programs and membership sites can be.
Here’s what this means to you…

Back when Overture was still alive, it was a great keyword research tool.
Now Google is showing real numbers with their keyword tool, but the “competition” index is sketchy at best if you’re trying to build niche pages. You can find keywords will lots of searches monthly and think you’ve got a “killer” niche for an adsense page, but then search Google and find out you have hundreds of thousand of pages of competition!
For my money, Micro Niche Finder is the best product at the best price for creating NICHE pages!
James Jones just keeps making it better and he has just come out with an updated version that is excellent and even better than the first two. It not only helps you find profitable niches but also helps you know the strength of the competition in those niches! You may have a great niche identified but if it’s already “owned”… do you have the resources to conquer it? Micro Niche Finder will help you know that and much more. And unlike Google, it gives you REAL numbers you can make sense of!
Also, the bonuses with Micro Niche Finder are excellent as well. They’re REAL money making tools, not more baloney.
On Today’s “Stump Markus”! program at noon, Markus will talk live about some of the top so-called “Guru’s” who had one motto – “Fake it till you make it!”
Here’s what he plans to talk about in his own words:
Out of curiosity, I tried searching Google for the phrase, “Fake it ’til you make it”…
… To my utter astonishment, there are over 450,000 references!
In simple speak, most successful people fake their way to the top — showing us Photoshopped social proof like Google checks and fudged bank account statements to give us the impression they’re experts at their craft.
You’d be absolutely shocked to know how many of the big-name “gurus” have lied their way to the top.
This is no build up or hype… I am going to name 3 big names on my next Stump Markus broadcast to show you how to spot
fake claims so you never have to buy into the guru junk again.
I expect to catch a lot of heat over my findings — but I don’t care. The fakes have to be revealed because trust in our industry is at an all-time low.
All you need on Thursday (at high noon) is an internet connection and your telephone… get the call details here:
“Stump Markus”!
Yesterday I was talking about Twitter and it’s ability to be used to solve customer service issues.
Here’s a USA today article on the service: Twitter took off from simple to ‘tweet’ success
How can work at home business operators use the service?
Market research for one. Here’s one important quote for our purposes:
Savvy businesses see gold in the information: Consumers are talking about them on Twitter, and they get to respond more quickly than ever.
“In the past, companies would hire a market research firm to understand their audience,” says Mike Hudack, CEO of Blip.tv, a New York-based video website.
“Now we use Twitter to get the fastest, most honest research any company ever heard — the good, bad and ugly — and it doesn’t cost a cent,” he says.
The trend for Americans in general is to give up the landline phone completely and use a cell phone at home.
How much more is this true for people who work from home or work at a “third place” like a coffee shop.
So should you and I be looking for alternatives to the cell phone and blue tooth? The article seems to imply a wireless headset like a blue tooth is better than a cell phone next to your head.
Thankfully I don’t have a cell phone signal at my home and have to use a land line or – now – VOIP.
Do you think it’s a problem?
You can read the article here: Cancer Doctor Warns – Limit Cell Phone Use
No, not through Adsense on your web page, though that has worked for many people… but through their new project, an online encyclopedia, called “knol” (for “knowledge”).
They’ve been developing it over 7 months of “secret” testing.
The basic idea? If you submit an article and it is accepted, you an Google can share the revenues.
It was invitation only for quite some time. Now anyone with a Google login code will be able to access it.
You can see it for yourself here at http://knol.google.com/
Editor’s Note: Writing sales letters is a skill. Top writers command a huge fee and tell YOU when you will get your letter. So often we have to begin writing our own sales letters. Here are some tips until you hit the big time!
By Michael Angelo Caruso http://www.EdisonHouse.com
All writers should know how to create a solid sales letter for the I’net. Sales letters are those long scrolling Web pages that help sell products and services online.
1. Writing is a skill that can be sold for side projects.
Even if your site doesn’t require a sales letter, you can earn extra bucks writing them.
2. Successful sales letters follow a formula.
The final document should include the product/service features and benefits, testimonials, an official promise of quality and an attractive, layout.
3. Benefits sell better than features.
A feature is a fact. A benefit is how the customer will feel after using the product or service. Think “cubic feet of leg room” vs. “a luxurious ride.”
4. Imitation is the most sincere form of flattery.
There’s no need to recreate the wheel. Cut-and-paste a successful sales letter into your document. Use it as a template.
5. Some words are more persuasive than others.
There are over 500,000 words in the English language. Find the most persuasive word combinations by testing with Google AdWords and informal polls.

From time to time our readers are looking for positions in the UK that relate to working at home. Not being from the UK, I like to post links from time to time to possible resources such as the recruitment agency, Search.co.uk as a place to definitely include in your work at home job search.
This sight has a number of “Specialty Divisions” such as “Call Centre” jobs which may be of interest to people seeking work at home or telecommuting careers. In the US at least, these kind of jobs lend themselves well to working from home. Searching this division and including keywords like “telework” (or the UK slang equivalent!) can he quite helpful.
Sometimes such positions – though allowing work at home – also want you to come into the office weekly at least. That requires being close by and searching by geographical zones, such as seeking “Jobs in Birmingham”, for example. Of course many other cities are listed as well.
Often, major job search websites like Search.co.uk do have work at home jobs, but to avoid the “spam” entries, it’s necessary to find legitimate corporate positions that have a work at home component.
Here’s a snapshot of the site …

Ok, yesterday the new lens on “Compare Cell Phones” was @#156,000. Today it’s here: # 36595!
Nothing really.
It’s only hope is if it attracts search engine traffic which remains to be seen.
But a little attention and traffic goes a long way.
In case you didn’t see this yesterday, I’ll be posting more information as I get it.
I’ve liked the program so much because I’m so tired of the “shlock” stuff out there. Lot’s of people want to make money on the internet but they don’t want to so it by selling the junk everyone else sells. They don’t want to sell explicit material because it’s “hot” for example. They don’t want to sell things they really don’t believe in. They aren’t adept at promoting “cookie cutter” programs. They want to market something that fits their personality and has the possibility of some residual income.
Now I didn’t say this was a FAST way to make money. It’s taken me quite some time… I’m still working on making it pay. But it will be home based work I enjoy and am “good” at.
That’s why I said yesterday that, “Teaching Sells” has been one of the most personally revolutionary concepts ever. It’s helping me – slowly and surely – change the way I do business online. But there’s some bad news for some people about Teaching Sells. It’s closing and some people are going to be left out.
