Copywriter/Proofreader (temporary position) :: Remote position

This position holds numerous responsibilities in the Creative Services department. As both a copywriter and proofreader, time management and organization are critical elements necessary for success in this position. Additionally, clear and accurate communication is a necessity since this position acts as a liaison between Creative Services and several other departments, including Brand, Legal, and Pedagogy.
 

Copywriting duties include the following:

• Read creative briefs produced and provided by Project Managers including specifications, objectives, and offer information for projects that need to be created.
• Collaborate with the creative team to brainstorm ideas and come up with formats for print, e-mail, and multi-media pieces.
• Create copy according to the specifications given in the creative brief, while staying on brand, keeping the target audience in mind, and using the Rosetta Stone® voice throughout.

Proofreading duties include the following:

• Proofread and edit any materials provided by design, studio, production, Project Managers, or traffic. This includes printed pieces, packaging, web-based projects, and content provided by the Content Development team.
• Return edited pieces to the appropriate parties via either hard copy or soft copy, using Workamajig and Outlook to convey edits needed.
• Convey any brand or legal concerns to those departments and communicate the correct procedures with appropriate parties.

It’s 75 miles from Chippewa Falls to St. Paul Minnesota. Thankfully this man only has to make the long commute once per week. The rest of the time he’s teleworking. So does his wife… Both work in web related and IT work.
