Craig Banks owns Daybreak Web Designs and loves Squidoo.com. You can find his lenses here. He’s got over 100!
As a web designer he creates a lens for each website, part traffic generator to take advantage of Squidoo’s huge traffic, and part search engine optimization for those deep links, one way links, etc.

  • Comcast Unlimited Internet Is Actually Limited

According to the Washington Post Comcast’s unlimited internet access IS limited.
Big downloaders are being booted from the service though Comcast says it’s really just the “bandwidth hogs”, not the rank and file user.
A warning comes first though - nobody is immediately disconnected. Are you in danger of being shut down?
To trigger a disconnection warning, […]

  • AT&T to no longer offer “Time of Day” service

AT&T has announced that “Effective September 2007, Time of Day information service will be discontinued” the LATimes reported today.

  • Research: Low Level Cell Phone Radiation May Cause Cancer

    First we heard it could.
    Then we heard it couldn’t.
Now here’s more research suggesting that as little as 10 minutes exposure can cause problems.

  • Google Expert Says TV Is Dying

I don’t know any work at home businesses that routinely use television routinely. If they do it’s likely local cable or public access, not network TV.

I think he’s living in his own little cyber world however because what he says presumes the easy access to high speed […]

  • Yahoo Mail To Offer Text Messaging Capability

Yahoo Mail is going to start offering text messaging capability. That means you can email and text message from your Yahoo account and not try to text message with a cell phone keypad.
Finally… text messages in ENGLISH instead of hieroglyphics!
Did you know there’s a generational component to this?
I thought I was finally hitting my technological […]

  • Google WiFi Celebrates First Year Of Operation

Google has been experimenting with Wireless Broadband to test how to give more people access - that makes sense since these people will likely be Google customers to some degree and click on Google ads.
    From the Official Google Blog
Our Mountain View WiFi network just celebrated its first anniversary, and we thought you’d appreciate a few […]

  • Teen Hacks IPhone - Now Works With Other Companies, Not Just AT&T

If you wanted an iPhone but didn’t want to switch to AT&T, maybe you can find a teenager to crack the code for you so you can use an iPhone with another carrier .  They look awefully handy, but I’m too cheap to buy one. But if AT&T wants to give me one and free […]

  • Update On Google & Hijacked Pages

Yesterday I posted the allegation by World Net Daily that the Google toolbar is hijacking web ads.
It’s obvious from the photo that something fishy is going on.
But is it with the Google toolbar?
In discussing the allegation with my sources in the IT world, they believe that this is NOT an issue with Google or the […]

  • HP service uses cell phones to help travelers with printing

Ryan Kim at the San Francisco Chronicle writes about a cool new service from Hewlett-Packard today.
This will make it easy for people who work away from home, office, or printer to continue to work without lugging a printer along.
More mobility normally means either more enjoyment of work or the opportunity to earn more […]
