The great Agloco hoopla has ended as reality has set in but the service is gradually building momentum and making substantive upgrades at a steady pace. Ask.com has just become a major partner.

Here’s what that means in terms of real dollars and cents. “Buy from your own store” now applies to search engines:

Our first data points are in with our AGLOCO/Ask search system. Average net revenue for AGLOCO per click is already over US$0.20 – the average Member click through rate on ads on the Ask search page – 20% to 25% of the time the ad is clicked on (one ad click for every 4 to 5 searches).

If every AGLOCO Member did 4 to 5 Ask searches a day and they clicked on average just one ad, the revenue generated for the AGLOCO community would be US$6.00 per month per Member. This would be a great start to building revenue for Member distributions.

AGLOCO’s challenge is to get every Member to have the Viewbar open all the time and to use the Ask search box to make their searches.

If you haven’t used the Viewbar to do an Ask search. We implore you to do it now. Member feedback on the Ask search results has been extremely favorable (most Members reporting they rate Ask results as good as Google’s or better.).

Revenue – We are excited that we have signed one of our major revenue partnerships for North America last week. We will be making the formal announcement later. Getting a major company to work with their own internal system to start to take advantage of the Viewbar’s capabilities is very exciting to us. It will take our partner’s tech team 3 to 5 weeks to complete their work, so you should see changes occurring after that time.

Tech Update The tech team reported that our move to new servers was completed last week. Early reports are faster downloading for most locations. Also, all Member accounts have been updated for total hours accumulated.

Media – We have received a lot of positive emails about Mike Klingler’s interview with Brian Greenwald. In it, Brian talked about the AGLOCO Vision and he answered some questions about the company’s current progress and trajectory.

Of course not. Nobody’s earned much of anything!

Here’s the reality as I see it from my little corner of the world.

When Agloco was in pre-lauch longer than the Israelites wandered in the wilderness it seemed you had these people signing up a bazillion folks and dreaming how they were going to spend the money.

If you looked at Agloco even a bit, you probably thought… “I’ve already lost out”.

You solaced yourself as best you could and prayed for the next latest greatest thing in the world to come.

If you’ve thought “I’m too late on Agloco“  think again.

When the download emails came, many people couldn’t get access to download.

After a while many others gave up.

Now people with big networks who thought they’d be rich already are seeing … “Hey! 20,000 in my downline and nobodies racking up any hours!”

The download rush caused lots of people to say “forget it”. I’ll bet a small number only downloaded the view bar… maybe 10%. (That was my figure!) That means there’s lots of opportunity to get folks… maybe some who signed up under someone else initially.

Then the ones that did rack up hours saw that basically there aren’t lots of fresh ads.

My guess is that they were all affiliate links and the commissions would be shared if anyone buys something.

I’ll wager they don’t have enough eyeballs checking the view bar to make it a really sweet deal for advertisers yet.

But I think they’ll be there pretty soon.

That’s why now is a good time to get into Agloco and refer people.

They can download the view bar quickly, start getting their hours and as the advertising power of Agloco builds, the system will start getting more and more profitable.

So it’s a good time to join and promote Agloco.

As a friend of mine says, he doesn’t plan to retire from it, but thinks it can be a good source of revenue.  Every chunk of cash helps doesn’t it?

After signing up, refer others so you can start earning when your network surfs the web. Now that the viewbar can be downloaded, referring people should be easier than ever!

We will be releasing the AGLOCO Viewbar software soon and want to update Members on how things will work when it is released.

Each Member will get an email informing them that their Viewbar is available. It will contain detailed instructions on the download, which will be done from the agloco.com website. Members will be invited to download in groups of 50,000 a day for a two week period, with Members contacted in the order in which they signed up.

Shortly before the first set of download emails go out, you will receive an email notice that the AGLOCO website will be ‘out of service’ for a few hours – this is necessary for us to move the Viewbar download system from the test server to the main servers.

Also, please be aware of the following:

1. AGLOCO Hours: You will accrue hours in your AGLOCO Member account (current maximum is five direct hours a month). Hours are earned during active surfing on the Internet. The Viewbar has a green light on it that notifies the Member when it is accruing time. Your referrals’ surfing will accumulate hours for you at a 25% rate, meaning if one of your referrals surfs for the maximum five hours you will get 1.25 (0.25 x 5) hours credited to your total referral hours. You can only get credit referral hours up to the amount you directly surf (meaning if you surf 3 hours but a referral surfs 4, you will only get credit for the first 3 of your referral’s 4 hours). AGLOCO accrues these hours each month and also has a cumulative total of all hours earned. These hours are what AGLOCO will use to calculate cash and other distributions. The Viewbar contains a one click inactive button which turns it off and removes it from your screen at any time.

2. Initial Release for Windows: The initial Viewbar release will be for Windows Vista, XP, 2000 Pro and 2000 Server. Later, we will release Mac and Linux versions of the Viewbar. Until that occurs, Mac/Linux users can still log onto any supported Windows computer and accumulate their five hours. The Viewbar works with browsers IE 5.5 or higher and Firefox 1.5 or higher.

3. Cash Distributions: To be a sustainable entity in the long term, AGLOCO makes Member cash distributions from its positive cash flow (revenue minus costs). Therefore, please do not expect a check after the first couple of months as it will take time to collect revenue from advertisers and this revenue must exceed costs in order to make cash distributions to Members. We will be keeping Members informed of our financials and you can visit the Official company blog at http://blog.agloco.com for the latest updates.

4. Multiple Users on One Viewbar: As stated previously, multiple Members may use the same Viewbar on the same computer. Only one Viewbar download will be necessary as the Viewbar software will enable each Member to log in and log out using their AGLOCO Member ID# and password (obviously, only one Member ID# can be accumulating Viewbar hours at any one time). Please note, only one Viewbar is allowed on a screen at a time.

5. One-Time Download: The v1.0 Viewbar is purposely simplistic and minimalist, but it also comes equipped with an automatic self-updating feature. Once you download the Viewbar for the first time, your Viewbar will be seamlessly updated with new additions and features as they become available. These future features include the direct cash back feature when a Member purchases items on sponsor site and a portion of the purchase price is added back to the Member’s AGLOCO account.

For those not familiar with the service, AGLOCO is a tool bar that pays you to participate in their advertising coop. The more you and your referral network participate (up to 5 hours per month of “surfing”) the more money is allocated to your account.

The toolbar is in development and is on the verge of being released. Nevertheless, it is later than planned and the troops are getting restless. I think if they get the bugs worked out it will be great.

Here’s the latest:

As mentioned previously, our delaying item is getting our partners’ ad servers to ‘talk’ correctly to the Viewbar. It requires programming on both their servers and our Viewbar to integrate correctly – not as simple as just signing up for Google AdSense.

After that is solved the Viewbar download area will need to be transferred from our test servers to our main site to handle the volume, where we will test it again (when this occurs our main site will be down, but we will give a warning before that occurs). Until the ‘glitches’ in the ad server integration are solved I cannot give a more accurate release date than “days away”.

Agloco IS free.Agloco DOES offer potentially great rewards IF the people you refer actually down load the view bar in a few days when it rolls out AND if they surf the net while it’s on.

Yes, if you cruch the numbers Agloco does seem to be able to produce astronomic levels of income. And perhaps that’s why people think it’s “too good to be true.”

Don’t worry, once you try recruiting people and realize it takes work, your fears will vanish!

Why?

All the calculations about “if you recruit 10 and they recruit 10 and they recruit 10″ fly out the window when you realize, most people will never recruit another soul.

You’ll be lucky to recruit 100, and find a few workers to create another 100 under you.

Soon the work will set in with Agloco and all the pie in the sky calculations will become meaningless. Once the work starts, the hype seekers will be gone…many who’ve signed up may never even download the tool bar!

Illusions will be shattered and when there’s just work left, that will separate the wheat from the chaff!

So if you think Agloco is “Just too good to be true”, you aren’t working it! You’re just playing with the calculators!
