In more general terms, SMBs say that using mobile technologies helps them gain a competitive advantage, increase productivity and efficiency, and allow their employees to work remotely — something that might lead to 50% of the SMB workforce working from home or remotely by next year.

AT&T recently released results from their 2011 Small Business Technology Poll and, not surprisingly, discovered that more and more small businesses are now choosing to liberate their operations from the office desk and take advantage of the anytime, anywhere power of mobile. The online survey included input from over 2,000 small business owners, in an effort to “gain a better understanding of the importance of technology to their daily operations.”
