How do you increase website sales? That’s an elusive question. When you’re competing against marketers like Amazon.com with multi million dollar budgets, it’s next to impossible.
So how can you increase website sales – either as an online retailer or an affiliate?
Chris Rempel has an interesting discussion on how to increase website sales in a report where he outlines a strategy called the “Conduit Method” and how that method works for affiliates. If you’re selling your own products, you could use the same strategy except you’d point the visitors to your website to your site instead of to an “affiliate link”. (You’d use this method because it’s better at attracting web visitors that a website built around an online “store” because you can focus more on the all important CONTENT people are looking for.)
The way you attract visitors is to set up a “niche review site”.
Such sites operate on a very simple principle – people researching a product are likely near the end of their “sales cycle” in much the same way that the Info Product Killer method works, except Rempel for whatever reason does not reveal some secrets the IPK system depends on for it’s success.
Basically Rempel’s method operates by building trust by providing a “review” of what people are interested in purchasing. Because the site is not an “online store” where the product is actually sold, it has the potential to appear more objective and provide a number of options for purchasing related products within a niche. A niche may be big screen tv’s, acne remedies, or anything else your niche finding software reveals.
The key is to offer information and options within the niche and then to build traffic to the site through a variety of linking methods.
