I just bought Antone Roundy’s products at SEOContentFactory.com
After downloading it and seeing the mess I’d gotten myself into, I emailed him to tell him I hadn’t expected such a quagmire.
Whey you read SEOContentFactory.com, you probably assume like I did that you’re downloading some stand alone software that does indeed sound very handy.
I DO think it will prove itself handy, but if you’re a “newbie” without your own website and hosting package, watch out.
You’re going to have to download about a thousand zip files (I jest but it’s an enormous number) and then proceed to unzip them individually and follow a variety of “read me” files and ftp files and troubleshoot and they you wonder “did I set up what I paid for?” … frankly it’s a big pain and a larger undertaking than I had planned for tonight.
Undoubtedly this was a masterful sales job of describing how a combination of his products served one larger purpose.
And the idea has merit – that’s why I bought it!
But it really needs to be simplified… If you don’t know what it means to “ftp” a file, you don’t know how to set up a MySQL database or use a “wizard” to do that - probably best to steer clear for now!
Update: You can see Antone’s response below. Things need to get MUCH simpler for wide use of this product by people used to other standalone readers.

Chuck,
Point well taken — I do need to make a few things more clear.
One that I’ll point out here, since you brought up the issue of downloading multiple files is that you need to download just 2 ZIP files if you bought the “RSS Super Pack” bundle: “Lobster (with plugins)” and “CaRP Evolution (with plugins)”.
If you bought the “SEO Content Factory” bundle, then you need 3 ZIP files: “Lobster (with plugins)”, “CaRP Evolution (no plugins)” and CaRP’s “MySQL plugin”.
The plugins are available as separate downloads too so that when one is updated, you can download it individually rather than grabbing the entire package again (and also for people who just buy individual plugins rather than the whole package).
While considering what you wrote, I think I came up with a better way to organize the download site that will make this more clear. Thanks for the feedback.
