You have to start somewhere.

Let’s say you were this person making $25 per hour. If you have real skills and live in the big city, $25 isn’t that much. Even if you live in a rural area, if the customers you work for are driving you nuts, it’s still not enough!

But at least you DID SOMETHING. That’s major because most people never “do” anything except day dream and envy others who have done something.

So even if what you’re doing is a royal pain, at least you’ve got a starting point.

For instance, if you’re doing search engine optimization for customers, you can earn more by learning an entirely new technique for generating web traffic.

Knowing a variety of techniques lets you offer – as he suggests – various packages that offer your customers choice. In my experience, be happy with all the prices you offer, but set your middle price high enough to keep you happy.

When setting your price, ask yourself, “If I did this work 40 hours per week, would I have enough to make a living and have benefits like health coverage and retirement savings?”

You may want to achieve that on just 20 hours per week.

Let’s say you can fund your lifestyle and benefits (and taxes!)  for $120,000 per year and you want to work just 20 hours per week with 4 weeks a year completely off.

That means you have 48 weeks to work at 20 hours per week or 960 hours per year.  To reach your goal, you must be able to charge and collect $125/hour. ($120,000/960 hours).

The main thing is you’ve STARTED.

You have a CUSTOMER.

They can give you REFERRALS.

You can charge them MORE.

You can now move forward if you know how.
