Starbucks Announces Free WiFi…
I guess people are going to places with cheaper coffee or at least free wifi to work.
To catch up, Starbucks is now going to provide free wifi… smart move I think. It will keep Starbucks as a prime “third place” or “work place” for mobile entrepreneurs.
And it allows them to continue to justify their premium price on the coffee and other edibles.
There are some caveats,
1. You must be a Starbucks debit card holder
2. It’s only in the first two hours of the day. In other words, they don’t want you buying a $5 coffee and camping out all day to soak up their air conditioning and wifi.
So it’s not quite as generous as the headline sounds but it should help some get their day started!
