The virtual office is genuinely booming as this article demonstrates – Lori Spiess: Virtual office pioneer. She started Officenters 30 years ago. 7 months ago she started Virtual Officenters.
As she says in the article, lots of people “do” these services. Most just offer it in the fine print instead of selling it as their “main product”.
These virtual office centers are a way for work at home businesses to have a ready pool of “help” they can outsource in a relatively short time frame without having to pay to maintain staff all year round.

Just wanted to give a quick comment on the virtual office business model. I think Lori is spot on. As technology has evolved, the notion of working from home makes so much sense…especially in a tight economy when trimming overhead so vital.
Staying closely connected with colleagues as well as customers without sharing proximity is now possible…and eliminates all sorts of stuff like commuting in traffic, paying rent, etc.
Lori is certainly on the cutting edge. It will be interesting to see how many more people are going to move in the direction of Lori’s product. I suspect more and more, as the economy tightens and people start looking for practical ways to save two very valuable assets…time and money.
