The name of the game is one way back links to your website, not to mention readers of course.
If you’re a blogger you want both.
Zimbio.com may help.
You let them access your blog feed, they suck up your articles from the feed. You have to manually assign your posts to a category they suggest or you choose.
Zimbio readers have the chance to read your posts and, if they like, visit your blog.
But even if you don’t get lots of readers, you can still get one way back links from a site Google likely pants over because of its vast and constantly changing content. It may help you get your site(s) indexed more quickly and help you get interested readers.
A double plus! Also, it’s free!
Of course you can put your own articles there too with backlinks.
This is a labor intensive, sweat equity method but when you have more time than money, it’s worth some of your effort.
For those sites that seem to take a long time getting indexed, I’d definitely try this. It will be especially helpful for creating link juice to those interior pages that often get overlooked in Search Engine Optimization. Consider it PART of your overall SEO strategy.

BEWARE…Zimbio doesn’t run a good company at all…stay away! They don’t answer customer emails and ban you for no reason at all.

I had the same experience as Bill. I’d been submitting material to Zimbio for about 6 months, and one day my account was shut down. I don’t know why and they don’t respond. That’s a lot of work gone down the tubes. I’d be interested to know of alternative sites that are more friendly.

wow – I’ve never heard of someone loosing a Zimbio account! I only use it to syndicate my content – and I open a new account for each website
