The webmaster of Kidpub.com recently outlined his experience advertising on Facebook. He writes well about some things he found after his 10 day ad run.
Obviously ads on Facebook are a new development there. He was also targeting a group that is 15 and under so it’s a different market than many home business people. Basically the site solicits stories by and for youth and then makes money by publishing those stories.
So it’s not exactly the kind of transaction most online marketers are using. So there may be a number of factors that make this information more or less relevant to your particular effort.
It sounds like the click through is low, but enough when he factors in email harvesting for the free download that it’s worth some exposure at Facebook after he established which ad worked best.
