Online Trading as Home Based Business

January 21, 2009 by Chuck | 3 Comments

As people are looking for any way possible to generate a significant income from home, they are looking to Online Trading as a home based business. This isn’t exactly new. In fact, people were selling these information courses before the internet had really “taken off” ten years ago.

What’s changed in the last decade are the tools associated with online trading. First, there are a number of online brokerages competing for your trading dollars and offering a variety of incentives so that the cost per transaction on, for instance, stock trading, is lower than a decade ago. Online trading – in theory at least – allows for a degree of transaction monitoring by the consumer that was unheard of a few years ago. This has increased the confidence of would be traders who assume that the ability to monitor the situation frequently (such as on one’s iPhone) increases it’s safety enough to warrant the risk involved.

In addition though, there are software tools that give consumers the sense that they can identify and capitalize on trends easily. It’s funny – and scary – how the purchase of software gives some a sense of invulnerability that may be dangerous in the long run even if it provides short term profits.

These phenomena though help account for the increasing number of people who use an online broker and online trading as a possible home based income opportunity. As always before investing, only invest money you can afford to lose without being evicted from your home. The passage of time hasn’t changed that rule at all!

Hi Chuck, Nice post, thanks for sharing. I’ve traded Forex for a few years now in addition to my other businesses and have found it to be a fun and profitable experience. As long as you have the mental tools in place, most physical tools will work for you.

Could not agree more that online trading and especially online Forex trading is receiving a lot of attention. It’s a viable opportunity but people have to do their homework to become proficient (nothing worth anything is truly easy). I would challenge anyone thinking about it to give it serious consideration but it is not for the lazy.

I make pretty decent money with it and I don’t consider myself a “smart” guy so it can be done with average skills.

Right, the online trading is a big opportunity. But it need efforts and times to be capable. I myself have done this for almost a year.
