Will the economy grow in 2009?
Who knows?
The MSM has an interest in hyping the “Second Great Depression” message just so that their anointed potentate can use any means necessary to expand government programs of every description and relive the glory days of FDR.
But just because the MSM say it doesn’t mean things might not get very dicey.
So we’ll look at a variety of opinions.
To start, here’s one from Maine.
Their assessment? Job loss in 2009 but no “Depression”.
Their pet economist says that “What happened in the 1930s was unique in American history. Any serious economist would say that there’s almost no chance we’re going into a depression.”
It will be interesting to revisit those words. Those almost amount to a creedal belief in the ability of the government to tax your children’s future to infinite lengths with no repercussions. Besides, if he’d said otherwise, that’s dissing your boss, right?
After all, what REAL person hires an economist?
