It’s Election Day in the USA

It’s Election Day today in the US for better or for worse. At least we will be free of the barrage of campaign advertising. What awaits us is anyone’s guess at this point. Spengler, as usual, offers some interesting words appropriate for the occasion. Hopefully they are not prophetic.

Though the media has done it’s best to declare that resistance to their Anointed one is futile, people across the nation STILL started lining up early to vote in today’s elections.

As John Stossel reminds us however, though every Citizen (and everyone who breaths next to an ACORN representative evidently) is told they have a DUTY to vote, many have no clue about the issues. To prove him correct, one person on YouTube who will presumably vote, actually believes that a vote cast for one candidate will actually mean that the “government” will pay for everyone’s gasoline and mortgage!

It’s amazing.

One wonders if entrepreneuship and the love of freedom will recover to characterize us as a nation again.

But rather than wallow in wonderment at the crazy state of affairs we find ourselves in today let me focus on the positive.

To those who realize that politicians cannot give you the life you’ve dreamed of and that, as entrepreneurs and risk takers, it is we the people who must ultimately shape this nation independent, I will use this post to salute the work at home business entrepreneurs who frequent this blog today.

Thank YOU for your work. Thank you for your vision. Thank you for not depending on a political messiah to manage your life. Thank you for persevering. Keep up the good.
