For example. Of course lots of people go to Facebook and MySpace to connect with friends and send messages. But search engines spider the pages constantly and profiles on MySpace can do fairly well for small niches… they have search engine respect.
So big social networks are becoming portals. It’s time to recognize that and use that for your online marketing. Unlike old style portals, they also have a communications function that’s worth pondering and exploiting.
