BlogFlat.com Offers Free WordPress Hosting

Blogflat’s free WordPress hosting might be worth looking into if you need to set up a free blog.

I joined up just to see if I’d like it… here’s what I created for aggravation of it:

Chuck Huckaby Online Marketing Blog

I haven’t posted anything yet.  I may not.

The thing I liked at the outset was all the cool plugins they’ve pre-loaded for you there. Even if you don’t want to blog there, you can at least get some ideas for some awesome plugins!

What I don’t like about it is that, as the laws of the universe dictate, “there’s no such thing as a free lunch” and so they are putting up adsense all over the place to justify giving away free blog hosting.

Also there’s a relatively few templates to be used here as of tonight… far less than WordPress.com. But I think the plugins make up for that shortfall… and they can always add more templates.

It’s only fair. But ugly really.

I don’t blame them. I just don’t choose to do lots of blogging there.

But it may be the perfect place for you to get started!

    Hey there,

Nice to know that a couple of hours after launching there’s a review already :)

We got some adsense-ready templates that had too many ad blocks. We’re already selecting new (better) themes with less ads and some with none at all. Hopefully it’ll be less “intrusive”.

    Best regards!
