How Did Your Representative Vote On The Corporate Welfare?

September 30, 2008 by Chuck | 0 Comments

We’ll take a break from the work at home scene to rant about that Bogus “Bailout”… that corporate welfare for the cufflink set, those histrionic theatrics from Barney “Enron” Frank about having to save America when he’s the one who stopped every possible attempt to head off this crisis while it was still in the making.

Of course any idiot except our fearless leaders knew that lending money to people who can’t repay will, however well intentioned, cause a crisis. But while the getting was good, everybody got what they could in Washington, Wall Street, and Main Street and now the checkbook’s empty with lots of month still left.

All attempts to bring reason into the equation were called “racist”, “uncaring”, and other nasty terms of course to cow the reasonable. Besise, the proposed bailout had it’s own pot of money for the people who would be unemployed if folks actually believed they didn’t need these housing messiahs to champion their cause. So the wannabe messiahs had to get their share for, arguably, shaking down the system in the first place.

So in the midst of this hullabaloo, it might be good to ask How DID your “representatives” vote?

The House server is holding up but extremely slow as voters let their representatives know that they were sick and tired of seeing the insiders bailed out… and also seeing Washington pour more good money down a rathole of Washington’s own making.

Back to business now. Some of us don’t have the body politic to bail us out.
