Kids Cash Connection Helps Kids Learn About Entrepreneurship

September 23, 2008 by Chuck | 1 Comment

Here’s a website I learned about on Twitter. It’s Kids Cash Connection and they “that introduces kids to the world of finances . We offer classes on budgeting, credit cards, saving and other financial issues. ”

I’ve tried to teach my own children about money and entrepreneurship, so I’m always on the lookout for these sites in case I can pick up a few tips on the subject to use with my own kids.

Here’s how they describe what they do: We are a for-profit company dedicated to the future financial success of our youth. We are a debt-free company with a cash-only philosophy. Our company offers financial education as well as community mentorship. We work with kids ages 8-18 but we know that even adults need help as well. That’s why parents can come free to any or all of the classes their children attend. We believe that money know-how is not a taboo topic; it’s a family affair!

Usually you see these non-profit companies trying to do this type of work – at taxpayer expense! Here’s my question for those taxpayer sponsored outfits – how the heck do you plan to teach people about making money when the only way you get any is to beg from the government? I don’t have a problem with ministries does this. Just the ones hitting up the government all the time. But, anyway, I’m glad to see a FOR PROFIT company in this business and developing community mentors.

We sincerely appreciate the kind words. We believe the kids of this country deserve a chance and that is all we are trying to do. We want to educate the community about the need for teaching kids about financial literacy. I hope the readers will join the Kid$ Ca$h Nation. That is just concerned parents, entrepreneurs and mentors who want to lend a hand to the kids of our nation.
