You can see my WordPress Tutorial articles here.
The other day I talked about how to install WordPress plugins “effortlessly” using Plugin Central.
But to install Plugin Central, you’re going to need an “FTP client”.
The one I like is Filezilla.
You can see a screenshot of the program in action above.
To upload Plugin Central, you
1. First download it to your computer.
2. Open Filezilla
3. Connect to your website via the ftp server (you get the address and password from your hosting service)
4. You find the directory where your website blog is installed.
5. Under “wp-content” is a sub directory for “plug ins”
6. You drag and drop the “plugin central” folder to the directory for “plug ins”
If you are trying to change the theme, you follow a similar procedure and “drag and drop” it to the “themes” folder under “wp-content”.
Once you’ve installed “Plugin Central” and the theme you like, you may never need to use FTP to upload your site again.
(You can do alot more with Filezilla but this is all you need to know to get started.)

Wow! Thank you! I always wanted to write in my site something like that. Can I take part of your post to my blog?
