Content: The Limiting Factor In Online Marketing/Blogging

dragon.jpgThe limiting factor for most people in creating money making websites is creating CONTENT. That’s because they are part time starting out, have a hard time writing/typing etc. It makes it very hard to compete against the big web companies. They have capital up front to hire writers who work full time, SEO and web geeks making sure the page ranks well etc.

You and I have to do everything.

And for the little guy, boot strapper online money maker wannabe’s like us, the way to do that is to produce content.

You may think it’s easy for people like me who live to write.

But even people who love to write (and I’m one of them) get sick of it at some point!

Having said that, we face a grim reality: unless you have plenty of content, you will be fighting an uphill battle in creating websites and blogs that sell.

So what are some tools to help you write faster?

(Writing faster does not mean “writing without thinking” or using these tools without your own edits and input, OK? I’ll say that again at the end. THESE ARE JUST TOOLS! They are not replacements for your owning what you put on the Web!)

1. Voice Recognition Software: The name I hear repeatedly from content producers is Dragon NaturallySpeaking 10 Preferred Upgrade. People tell me this really works and lets them write at 200 words per minute. Try typing that fast. And editing is quick and easy.

2. Automated Research: Instant Article Wizard Pro is a monthly subscription, but it is the premier article research software on the market in my opinion. It produces material that is solid, but you MUST I believe, edit and add your own voice. After all, what it produces may be wrong in your opinion! I’ve seen the samples, it just spits out politically correct cliches at some points on some subjects. If you are using it to research a blog or site where you’re positioning yourself as an expert, you could look like a real fool if you just “cut and paste” on the wrong subject. For example Rush Limbaugh using this to research articles needs to make sure the software didn’t download information from the DNC party platform… see what I mean?

3. PLR or “Reprint Rights” products, and “Ghost Writers”. Here’s one that is popular: Niche Empires. I’m not necessarily recommending it or not recommending it. I’m just using it as an example. I’ve seen people buy huge libraries of this stuff. Just one problem. Most is 110% rubbish. Some is good. What do you want on your page? Some of the rubbish though may give you ideas you can merge/purge into something usable. Go to the online forums and you’ll see people selling “ghost written” articles for $1 an article. Others are selling “rewrite” services for the $1 articles!!!! Or they’re charging you for $5/200 word article and your product comes back at 150 words. Though they might be good words at least for that price. I know real pros though who use these PLR articles - after their own edits.

If you go the PLR route or just produce a ton of articles to upload to a blog, check out my friend Kathy’s new WordPress plug in for uploading many articles quickly.

See the theme? Get mass quantities of research or words in front of you in one or multiple ways… and you do the edits.
