The Pitfalls of Working Online

August 27, 2008 by Chuck | 0 Comments

If you’re working online and learning to set up websites, one pitfall is to do what I just did.

I had my FTP client open and clicked to delete a WordPress plug in for a site I was building.

There’s just one problem. I clicked delete for a functioning site and effectively gutted its ability to sell anything on dozens of pages.

I reinstalled the plug in and now it seems to be working fine.

That’s the life of someone working on the internet… things are fine, instant crisis, fears of losing all your work pass before your eyes, then by retracing your steps and repairing your foul up, things seem to be working again.

Get used to it.
