In the job business, we used to say that only 20% 0f available jobs were listed in newspapers or through the government sponsored “Employment office”. Have online listings made more jobs “advertised jobs”? It’s hard to tell.
So many jobs advertised online are business opportunity come ons or scams, it’s hard to tell.
Overall numbers are still important to watch for purposes of guesstimating job demand though the number is filled with erroneous data thanks to biz opp ads.
In July, online job ads decreased for the 5th straight month.
So the signs aren’t so good right now.
