Forbes – Solar Energy All Night Long

July 31, 2008 by Chuck | 0 Comments

Forbes’ article on solar energy breakthroughs is another one of a series of technological advances relating biological research to human energy production: “Solar Energy All Night Long” is about how plants transform sunlight into electricity.

Because, says the article,  there’s enough energy deposited on the earth in one hour to meet our planet’s energy needs for one year, this scientist’s development of an “inorganic leaf” is a huge step forward in harnessing this power.

For now though, there’s no telling when it will have any real world applications.
