I’m an engineer by day. I graduated in 2000 with a Mechanical Engineering degree from Texas.
If money is your answer, engineering is NOT where you want to go. It’s more stable than other jobs but engineers do not go through that course load hoping to make the big bucks.
Sales by far makes a lot more and main reason why I have started up a energy business to supplement my income. Trust me. You won’t see many engineers retiring early and main reason why I started thinking about different ways to generate an income while I’m not actively working it.

Sales is the up and down of income generating, most good salesmen are broke at the end of the week. Engineering is one of the toughest degrees out there and gives you the base to do anything.
