One of my Kiva loans just got paid off. For a while, I couldn’t find loans I wanted to fund at Kiva due to a rush of donors who flocked to the site for a while.
Now there seem to be plenty of opportunities and here’s one I decided to lend to today, a Ghanian electrical goods supplier.
Note: If you’re new to Kiva, be sure NOT to lend to any lender with less than a 4 star rating if you are worried about the loan not being repaid. Personally I don’t mind lending, but I want my money to help more than one person. I want to keep it in circulation even if I’m not getting any interest on it. So the thought of losing one red cent aggravates me extremely. If you’re the same way, stick to the 4 or 5 star loans. Even then, there are no guarantees.
