The couple is happy. They describe their experience this way:
“We have both wanted to run our own businesses for some time now and I particularly wanted a more home-based work environment. “When we heard about Orca, both Sue and I could see the huge potential for helping companies use the internet to benefit their businesses.”
One of the local companies which has seen a major boost in business is Chu’s Oriental Cuisine on Church Road in Lytham. Jennifer Chu said: “I’d already had experience of websites through our Blackpool restaurant and it is something you know needs to be done and done well, but you’re busy running the business and looking after your customers.
“With John, we were able to do just that and leave the site to him. It was up in no time and has already brought in new and repeat business.”
Former hairdresser Sue said many Fylde firms are seeing the benefits of having their own websites.
She said: “Business owners I’m speaking to are gobsmacked at the quality of the sites we’re creating for them.”
(Does anybody know what “gobsmacked” means? I think if I used the term in the US where I live, it may be taken as a cuss word…)

Have moved here from South Africa and I am familiar with the word ‘gobsmacked”. Have used the word a few times and have had to explain.

I have never heard of Orca Website Franchise. What exactly do they do or rather what do you do for your business? Is it going well for you? I assume so based on your article.
Thank you for sharing….

I read Orca’s website, and what they are looking for are salesmen to find small/medium business to sell the service of creating a website.
Creating websites for small companies is a very profitable business, I made $1500 in one hour by doing this, but you don’t need anybody to start such business, and certainly not 10000 GBP.
You can even start it part-time and learn along the way. Even if you don’t know nothing about IT stuffs, you can use freelancers for the technical part and make a huge profit.
The only difficulty is to find people (you can see the post on my blog “how I made $1500 in one hour” about my story for advices)
Anyway just look in google for “Start a Web Design Business ”
there’s also a book called “Start a Home-Based Web Design Business “, find it on amazon
