LinkNerve.com is a good idea for internet marketers. It lets them buy links back to their web page from all over the internet.
Here’s a bug their customers are going to encounter.
The service - which is still in beta - seaches blogs for the keywords you want to buy a link for.
But here’s something I found from a customer who test purchased this term “office furniture”.
The database included Word Press Blog Search pages… they cannot be edited for these keywords! The only live links on such pages though are to the blog posts.
In other words, LinkNerve.com is including in this potential link count listings like this…
http://www.bloginquestion.com/?=keyword
But the blog owner can’t edit these pages!
For the key word in question “Office Furniture” is shows a potential of 267 links.
Not knowing it’s search algorithm and the blogs used, we don’t know how many of those 267 links are from these UNEDITABLE pages.
Of course they offer a refund for any link not actually placed. Given the prevalence of Word Press blogs… it could be a high number.
Undoubtedly they’ll fix this, but link buyers should be aware of the glitch.
Bloggers should realize they’re being paid - based on this example - just 25% of what LinkNerve.com charges. They’re asking $20 and paying $5.
As a blogger, I’m biased but I think it’s another case of the blogger being low balled.
So what else is new?
Keep an eye out on this service. It’s very interesting and this problem should be easy to clear up.

Doesn’t look like this is quite ready for prime time.
