About.com, a subsidiary of the New York Times, is looking for a part-time Expert on Dogs. “The ideal candidate will be:
* a well-respected dog trainer or breeder with extensive knowledge of various breeds, dog care, and training techniques;
* an experienced, licensed veterinarian or veterinary technician; or
* someone with a professional background working with dogs and is a recognized expert in this area.”About.com pays its Experts (“Guides”) a minimum of $725 monthly during the first two years of their contract. Substantial writing responsibilities apply.
