When Your Ads Are “Bad” - Lipitor

February 26, 2008 by Chuck | 0 Comments

Small work at home businesses don’t have this problem exactly, though I have heard of MLM distributors investigated by state Attorneys General for running “miraculous cure” ads… I think the product I especially remember was Germanium in Minnesota years ago. There were astounding claims printed by the distributor in the paper which provoked a swift legal response.

In those situations the company terminates the distributorship instantly to distance themselves.

The point is that you don’t make “sure fire” claims like that.

Unless of course you’re a big drug company like Pfizer hiring Dr. Robert Jarvik to push Lipitor.

It’s caught up even with them and now Doc Jarvik’s out of a job.

At least there’s some justice in this.

I guess the ads pulled pretty well… too well. Like those ads for Germanium.

A word to the wise…
