Also, Sam Walton always said not to come to Wal Mart for service… but people keep wanting to pay nothing and be treated like royalty. It’s human nature. The trick is to treat people like royalty in a way they can afford without you going broke at the same time.
Notably big grocery chains with higher average prices got better customer service ratings. Part of that margin allows them to have more people to talk to customers.
