Antone Roundy is an RSS Whiz. He sent me this email so I’ve decided to pass it along.
I’ve been using CaRP to display Amazon.com affiliate ads in my blogs for quite a while, and I’m frequently asked how to display RSS feeds in a WordPress blog. The other day, I was considering posting the code I use to do it, but I decided that it required too much template hacking. So I wrote a WordPress plugin to make it easier.
I was hoping to have it hosted on WordPress.org before sending this email so that I could pump up its download stats there, but shortly after being approved, it disappeared from the site for some reason. So rather than keeping you waiting while I sort that out, I’ve created a webpage where you can download it.
The plugin is named “CaRP/WP”, and you can download it for free at:
http://www.GeckoTribe.com/rss/carp/CaRP-WP/
Instructions for how to install and use it can be found on that page. As you’ll see, CaRP/WP can be used to easily display RSS
feeds, including keyword-based Amazon.com affiliate best sellers feeds within your WordPress posts. Here’s one quick example. Typing the following code in a WordPress post would search Amazon for the best selling books on internet marketing and display links and information about them in your blog (and the links would update automatically when Amazon’s search results changed):
[carpwp:amazon{internet marketing}][/carpwp]
How’s that for simple!
If you’re a WordPress user, download your copy of CaRP/WP today and give it a try in your blog.

Enjoy,
