Hi DJ,

I work at UserTesting.com. First, thanks for your feedback. "Keystrokes" was perhaps the wrong word for us to use. Here's how it works: When you begin to review the website, we launch a screen recorder. The screen recorder is like Camtasia...it makes a movie of whatever you do on the screen. That includes mouse movements. It also means that if you type something into your browser (like if you search for something), the movie will show what you have typed into the search box.

UserTesting.com doesn't track keystrokes. But the person who views your movie will be able to see what you typed into their site.

I hope that makes sense.

I can understand why they would record keystrokes on a website review. It's to determine ease of navigation... but I see why your paranoia is flaring up.

Here is what concerned me. "You use software to record a video of what's happening on your screen - mouse movements, clicks, and keystrokes". Keystrokes?? I was going to sign up before I read that.
