Here’s a job listing that shows that even using advanced medical transcription equipment with voice recognition, you still need Medical Transcriptionists.

They’re called “Medical Transcription Editors”

Tired of pounding the keyboard? Want to give your wrists and hands a rest? We are hiring MT-Editors with a minimum of 2 years of recent acute care experience to work with advanced voice recognition technology.

At Focus Infomatics we specialize in voice recognition technology. Your work would include a mix of traditional transcription as well as editing of voice recognized files on state-of-the art, user-friendly, voice recognition software geared toward productivity.

Focus Infomatics respects your talent and values you. We offer a highly competitive cpl rate, shift differential, and incentive! Independent Contractor (IC) status, as well as FT and PT employee status is available. For our full time employees, we offer direct deposit, medical, pharmaceutical, dental, and long-term disability benefits.

Note VISTA and Office 2007 aren’t compatible… I’m not surprised!

Insightful post. I am sure there are those who are currently work for someone else that will question the validity of work at home opportunities.

Hence your post shed some light on the significance of this niche market.

As each year passes, more and more employees are beginning to realize just how mundane, limited, and insecure their current jobs are.

In an avid effort to match this emerging revelation, individuals are searching for business opportunities that could be relied upon should one get fired. Not to mention, with the current economic downturn, being your own boss is becoming more appealing and attractive to the employed masses.

Journalist and TV host, John Daly, used his skill and experience to develop ‘The Real Money Show’, an invaluable online resource that reveals how to search for an online business capable of supplementing an income or even providing much desired financial security. I get spam e-mail almost daily on becoming a ‘Transcriptionist’; right now the trend is ‘Legal Secretary’ , ‘Nursing’ and ‘Massage Therapist’. How does one know what is legitimate and what isn’t?
