Teen Entrepreneur Owns Trademark Obama Campaign Is Violating

January 10, 2008 by Chuck | 1 Comment

A College Age Entrepreneur, Stefan Doyno, registered the trademark “Change Rocks” for his jewelry business. He began his business when he was 18 and one of his first steps was to register the trademark that the Obama campaign has been using illegally.

The Obama Campaign has been notified of their illegal use of the term but, as yet, hasn’t ceased, desisted, or compensated the youth for the use of the trademark.

At least we can get him some free publicity here for his suffering… visit ChangeRocks.com

It would only be a violation of the teen’s trademark application if the Obama campaign were using that phrase in connection with similar types of goods/services, according to the USPTO. It’s very unlikely that the Obama campaign is selling or manufacturing jewelry under the name CHANGE ROCKS.
