Another Way To Remind Yourself

People who work at home or work at a “third place” remind themselves in different ways about getting things done.

If you’re in front of a computer screen all day, then using a calendar program – like one in Microsoft Outlook – makes sense because it reminds you about upcoming appointments, tasks, etc.  It’s so good, if you don’t delete things, you’ll have a list a mile long and that’s a bit demotivating.

Other people use the traditional pen and paper which works great if you have a routine of checking such devices and keeping them in plain sight.

Others live by their cell phones/PDAs and these work best to remind them what to do.

You may have your own calendar set up in one, but another option now exists: Text message reminders. One new service online is MyMobiMinder.

I tend to like cell phones as a back up reminder system at least. I don’t have a PDA… just a cell phone with a calendar feature.

I suppose I could see myself using mobiminder. I like the free part. I assume it’s ad supported or otherwise, it won’t be free!

But would I type it in my calendar on the phone AND log online to get a text reminder on my cell phone? I’m not sure. But some people might. If you’re one, give it a try… it’s free.

My worry about it?

Will I start getting text message spam that I’ll never be able to stop? They didn’t address that fear that I could see.

Thank you for your kind words about my service. And thank you for pointing out that I missed something in our FAQ’s.

We do not share phone numbers with anyone else, and we will not spam via text message.

And yes, mobiminder is free because it is ad supported.
