Pandemic Fears In Australia

Working at home via telecommuting is widely heralded as a business safety strategy during a pandemic.

Now a nutritional panel from the University of Sydney in Australia has encouraged stockpiling up to 10 weeks of food because they say it’s not IF a pandemic will sweep that nation, but WHEN. Because Australia is closer to Asia and has large amounts of international traffic, they feel Australia will be hit sooner and harder by a flu pandemic.

I think the recommendation in the US is already up to keeping enough food on hand for two weeks. Maybe it will be 10 weeks here soon too!

The article appears in at News.com Australia and the food storage guidelines are at http://www.foodlifeboat.com.au/
