The article states that they tracked data from 1968 to 2003.  My question is – out of curiosity not criticism – is if this trend has increased significantly since the military went to an “all volunteer” status?

Individuals with military experience are more likely to be self-employed than other individuals, according to a new study.

Other strong predictors of self-employment include post-graduate studies and home ownership. In fact, every $100,000 increase in mortgage value increases the probability of self-employment by 2 percent.

The study was conducted by the Small Business Administration’s Office of Advocacy, which tracked data from 1968 to 2003.
