As people age, High Blood Pressure is one of those frightening things that creep up on people.
Any medication can be super expensive, but I was amazed to be shopping in WalGreens the other day and found a product in the vitamin aisle that has some research about it’s blood pressure calming properties.
It’s actually by product of milk fermentation from lactobacillus helveticus and a form of sour milk. Mmmm… yummmy!
But for the lactose intolerant and weak of stomach, you can get capsules of the stuff. Here’s the name and the research here. I believe the culture is also available in a yogurt form too. At $1 per day for the capsules, that’s very reasonable.
This is something to try BEFORE you’re diagnosed with High Blood Pressure if at all possible. Once you’re labelled by the medical establishment, getting health insurance at decent rates is nearly impossible.
This works best of course if you have low hypertension. It’s so new it’s not mentioned as I recall in the excellent book The Blood Pressure Cure: 8 Weeks to Lower Blood Pressure without Prescription Drugs. But these two resources are really helpful if this is an issue for you and you don’t like the idea of being a medical guinea pig if you can avoid it.
