Google Plans To Offer Free Online Storage

The dream of the Web 2.0 world is that everyone will keep their data on a remote sever somewhere and ultimately have stripped down laptops and internet accessing devices that no longer require internal storage.

It reminds me of the report of Google getting into online medical records. I suppose they’ll serve Adsense ads while people are reading about Adenoids.

This could be good for people on the move as long as they can access the internet. If the net is down or unavailable, there’s going to have to be some storage capacity if only a flash drive with password protected encrypted storage.
