The biggest question bloggers have it seems is how to make money from blogging. Bloggers flock to articles about how to generate revenue from their sites. Increasingly putting up a blog and slapping on some pay per click ads DOESN’T do much unless you just have scads of traffic. Most Blogs don’t have it.
Selling things through affiliate links is of sporadic value for many bloggers. They’re writers, not product pushers. And it’s not like they’re going to keep the same post up forever as the first thing you see on the blog. So even those posts that sell something well don’t rake in the money indefinitely.
Most internet marketing survives on fad promotions not steady sales – at least judging by my inbox. People come and go with the latest greatest technique but that usually isn’t the steady income a blogger wants.
Having sponsored advertorials is good if you are writing about things you really believe in at a fair price. But some of these advertorial companies can really jerk the blogger around by dreaming up reasons to deny payment long after the traffic burst benefited their customers! So even the biggest pay per post companies some times seem like rip offs even if they do have something you want to write about and can in good conscience.
Let’s face it honest bloggers want to share ideas and, in a sense, teach people.
And they’d like to get paid for doing it. And now we’re back to the rub… how do you get paid?
I’ve decided I’m going to have to “think outside the box” if I’m going to do the things that matter most to me.
The one resource recently that has given me a new perspective on things and some hope that I can get more into the teaching aspect is the course Teaching Sells.
It works for any topic where people are seeking a teacher online and, best of all, helps you get off the Google Traffic Roller Coaster.
It’s already introduced me to several brilliant software tools to make my dream a reality and helped me to identify customers whom I’m doing joint ventures in the process.
For people who want to get paid to help people, sell their knowledge, and stop selling just what everyone else is “pushing” Teaching Sells is a way to move ahead.
The free report certainly opened my eyes.
