A friend and I used to put on Trade Shows for the MLM industry in the 90’s.
Trade Shows are no different than any other marketing venue in one way… whether internet marketing, newspaper ads, direct mail, etc. there are a certain number of people who will fixate on the opportunity and believe the marketing method will solve all their money problems.
It’s as if the marketing method works “automatically”.
You rent a booth, you show up, you breathe, people throw money at you.
Instant downline, instant sales, instant yacht.
But it just doesn’t work like that for ANY marketing method and these Trade Shows, Work At Home Shows, or Career Fairs are no different.
Renting a booth buys you one thing – the opportunity to begin a mutually beneficial relationship with potential customers and business co-workers.
From a marketing standpoint you’re just making favorable contact and exchanging business cards so that you can do business later.
And that’s all.
Sure you may make some sales, but if you don’t realize that’s likely NOT going to happen you’ll miss the real opportunity that’s there.
