Tutorz.com Search Engine Lets Students Connect With Tutors

Tutorz.com is kind of like a pay per click search engine for tutors. When you register your tutoring business with them, you choose how many students you want them to refer. If you just want to test the service, you can register for free to see if it will generate leads for your neck of the woods.

They’ll let you advertise in up to 10 zip codes and send you up to 100 tutoring requests in a 3 month period for just $49.95 under their gold plan … not bad if you’re in a major market where people look for tutors on the internet as opposed to just asking their local school principals.

The $49.95 sounds reasonable to me if the “fish are biting” at your ad. Depending on your subject, you can make back $50 in a couple of hours usually. Some tutors make it up in 30 minutes.

You get to set your own fee, collect your own payments, and Tutorz.com doesn’t get anything besides the advertising fee. That means you don’t sign any “non compete” agreements either since that’d be like running a newspaper ad and letting the paper think people responding to the ad were THEIR customer, not yours.

If you’re tutoring online then, of course, you can be in Podunk Idaho and tutor folks in hot spots like Orange County California or Long Island New York.

10,000 tutors are already registered.

Since you can TEST the service for free you may want to check it out.
