Have You Checked Out CheapOAir For Business Travel?

I’ve got an invite for a conference down in Orlando FL in December and so I’m checking my flying options, even though I don’t like to fly. I haven’t flown since 9/11 in fact. It’s not  “fear of flying” per se, but mostly a strong distaste for aggravation, long lines, and random searches.  But I’m considering it for this business trip and so I wanted to save some money.

One place I decided to check out this time was a service I’d never heard of before called Cheapoair. Their motto is “One Click or Call Does It All, Call Customer Support 24/7 at 212-478-0335.”

Even though I’m averse to flying, I liked their guarantee – the lowest price anywhere on the web for the airline, dates, and particulars of that flight.

Maybe I’m just a pushover for the sales pitch about  saving $480 on the flight to the destination I’m visiting (how did they KNOW?)  The part about the “bargain fares” for unsold tickets also tweaked my deep seated suspicion that there are always ways to get really cheap seats that that someone, somewhere must be making these available! (Can you tell we all love to feel we’re getting in on a secret?)

The interface was convenient to use.  I never quite know when to book a flight to get the best rates or how often to check back to try to get a better rate. That’s a reflection on the market for airline tickets, not Cheapoair.

I may not be able to get over my post-9/11 non flying bias, but this is one site I’d check out to at least find out my options.
