Carbon Credits and the Copenhagen Consensus

October 9, 2007 by Chuck | 0 Comments

Here’s a lens on the Copenhagen Consensus… CC is the only “mainstream” approach that deals with so-called “Global Crises” in any form of logical framework.

Wall Street is all over this carbon credits blather not because it would actually help anyone, they simply see a way to make money off the transaction. Here’s more carbon credit blather today.

Of course, your average home business has no interest in Carbon Credits directly. But the issue of the carbon credit, carbon tax will affect every household because the new face of government totalitarianism is “perpetual crisis” that demands we sacrifice freedoms “temporarily” and raise taxes “temporarily” and increase the bureaucracy “temporarily” where “temporarily” means “as long as we can keep you fooled”.

Sadly, this sane approach through the Copenhagen Consensus approach is getting no play. Totalitarians want a crisis all the time to expand their power… the more unverifiable yet apocalyptic the better. Some dunderheads who play conservatives to get votes then do as they please and seemingly are just too preoccupied or dumb to read anything with “Copenhagen” in the title, unless it’s on a round tobacco tin in their jeans pocket.
