Telecommuting in Birmingham? Get some extra cash!

CommuteSmart said it will give commuters $2 a day for three months if they choose an alternative to driving alone to work. The money will be given to commuters who choose to carpool, telework, take transit, bike or walk to work.
The other incentive program will give $25 gift cards on a quarterly basis to commuters that log at least 20 commute trips during the quarter.

Raleigh, NC is struggling with this as well. It sounds like a good incentive and maybe it would help to do this in my area.
