It’s after Labor Day and I didn’t have a decent vacation this summer, sad to say. I’m staring out the window right now and wishing I could just relax. That made me all the more envious when I surfed and found this website about Jamaica. I’ve been to Jamaica a couple times via a Jamaica cruise ship and this site brought back some fond memories of the Island and the cruise.
They had great side trips when the tour ship docked. And what I recall in particular was the wonderful waters, the beautiful verdant forests and a particularly stunning waterfall I remember touring.
There were also some historical things I recall, but I didn’t remember ever hearing about the first inhabitants of Jamaica. I tend to remember more the British influences on the culture of the Island.
It’s hard to pull back from staring out the window and daydreaming about a cruise right now.
I guess that gets me back to planning … I need to get that passport so I can put some action to these day dreams.
And I need to get ahead on some writing projects so I have the cash to take the trip.
