Yahoo Mail is going to start offering text messaging capability. That means you can email and text message from your Yahoo account and not try to text message with a cell phone keypad.
Finally… text messages in ENGLISH instead of hieroglyphics!
Did you know there’s a generational component to this?
I thought I was finally hitting my technological stride because I now use AOL Instant Messenger and Gmail’s version of the tool.
Only then did I find out that email and IM’s are considered the tools of “old people”.
Cell phone text messaging is the main way youth connect these days.
So finally email users can at least maintain the appearance of communications relevance!
I use Gmail mainly these days. I wonder when they’ll get this?
In the meantime, I guess I’ll have to go on over to this Text Messaging site.
