Message From PayPal Shipping - Ugh

I bought something using PayPal today and I just got this message from PayPal Shipping:

Your package will be shipped by PayPal Shipping with U.S. Postal Service

XXXXXXXXX used PayPal Shipping with U.S. Postal Service to create a shipping label for your package.

You can check the delivery status of your package online at…

When I clicked the link, it send me to the good old USPS.

I don’t blame a PayPal merchant for  using this service. It’s just that the USPS never seems to update their shipment information. I suspect I’ll see the package before they get any data online! It’s much easier to get data out of UPS and DHL. At least in my experience.

For a group that wants to play in the big time, the USPS needs to get their tracking technology up to speed.

I wonder if PayPal gives shippers other options when printing labels? It doesn’t seem so when the only term used is “postage”
