According to the L.A. Times Laser Printers can be as hazardous to your health as smoking cigarettes due to the particles they give off.
The finding came accidentally… they’d originally planned to test air quality in a building next to a “dusty road” assuming the dust on the road was the problem.
It’s an interesting story about scientific sleuthing that reads better if you don’t have a laser printer working anywhere nearby!
